watching the icl league-my first impression was that we are going to watch a series of cricket matches between has beens and never have beens.
watching the matches between the teams has opened my eyes to the depth of talent that has not been tapped by the selectors-where were the selectors wwhen the likes of vignesh wereperforming on the domestic scene-we are looking for an all rounder-where were the seletors-have they looked at ibrahim khallel-tp singh-ambaty rayudu-junjunwala-stuart binny-this ban d of youngsters-beat pakistan and the world eleven.
there is a saying in kannada-gunakke matsara illa-which would be translated as-quality has to be recognised-
as a person involved with cricket administration for a long time-i do feel that these raw talents have to be
accomodated.
i saw a slim 20 year old boy called abu nechim-bowling at 140 kms an hour-i wondered why bcci cannot see what my un practiced eyes are seeing-
my question to the bcci-is indian cricket going the way of indian hockey-
once the greats-sachin-sourav-dravid-laxman-kumbleretire-where are the replacements.
i do feel the bcci must shed its ego-and like australian cricket in the packer era  understand and adapt-and welcome talent-because the bcci represents indian cricket and i do hope bcci officials understand what their mandate really is.
